I hope this doesn't experience undue propagation delays considering the
solar activity lately. (;->)
The contest weekend was the rebound usually experienced a few days after
a radio blackout caused by an SME. Two more were observed and the shock
wave hit today, the effects are expected to be felt during hours of
daylight. Another is expected tomorrow so for the next few days you can
expect geomagnetic storms and aurora. This could be a boon to VHF ops,
particularly on 6M. Just point the beam north or south depending on the
hemisphere and you'll get signals from nearly all directions. HF ops can
expect poor conditions temporarily, then a fantastic rebound, especially
above 15Mc.
So, there you have the KB2VXA forecast for the next few days or so. (;->)
