I enjoyed this weekends contest.
But here in the UK I am trying to work out why I heard no dx on 14Mhz.
Not even north americans and yet 21/28Mhz was bursting at the seams with DX.
14Mhz only provided shortskip conditions around europe....weird.
I did'nt bother with the LF band - I couldnt be bothered to stay up too
late ;-)
I wonder what others thought ?
With my indoor wire loop and 25 watts on 28Mhz I worked countless
W's and VE's, loads of europeans with 5 watts on 14/21/28Mhz.
And even found a few new ones for me in Egypt and United Arab Emirates and
Antigua and Barbuda (V26B on 21Mhz) with 25 watts. Not bad for a bit of
wire taped to the bedroom wall ;-) </subtle boast>
It would be interesting to also hear about any QRP or small antenna
experiences - anyone ?
