Nice going Andy. Yes you are so right. There is nothing which gives
a bigger kick than working a DX station alive and direct, be ti with
QRP or with high power. (ti = it)
The morm these days is to dial in a digital number on your nearest
2 metre repeater and speak to someone 10000km away and then have the
nerve to ask for qsl card...what a giggle.
Andy, I forward on 21 megs everyday, on pactor, and yes the band is open
no more so that when the RTTY guys come up for a contest. Now there is
qrm....wow :-)
Everyone wants to get rid of the cw so they can come on HF...what for?
There are so few users on HF now. And a contact using CW is really great!
But then you and I Andy are old fashioned and the only way to go is
digital :-)
The thrill has gone...what a shame
Keep well Andy and keep digging.
73...Bob
