For stew, our potatoes were boiled, but I can remember further cutting
them up raw, and letting them stew in the stew. The other way you
mention with them coming up mush is interesting, but then they'd
mix in the stew ingridents.

We cook a full fish, or BBQ it..or for those who like it grilled
or broiled that way too, and well there is always leftovers.

The cod cakes sound nice but never have cod leftover, as we have with
the salmon. The cakes also have been made with Yuccas...or the
sweet potatoe.

As for cooking from scratch..no. Now I know of people who go out
for breakfast and lunch and even dinner. Interesting experience.

I've seen that in our cheapo store. Also had a look at some and
wondered if I could make the hospital in time for a pump out.

They even have for entertaining two types of those tiny bite saugage
roll things. The problem is WE got one day the hotdog type that
tasted like rubber and we were both sick...so we have to check and
make sure we get the right ones.

Pizza isn't Italian, it is actually Arab. Yes, you are right it
is a simple pie. As explained to me, as with the originals
they just put all they had to make it. All the rick and riz stuff
is what she says is over here ... we are a poor country.

As for calling anything PIZZA, like the American idea of Pizza,
you ask the Brasilians what type of Pizzas they have, and well
it cured me for a few years having pizza after a night at a
Brasilian pizza place.

Who cares about Yanks being confused with Pizza...try BRASIL.

Aaaah you want to exchange creative tested pizza? you go first!

Mrs. Scagilione is I hope still alive, and I hope so, as I have
not spoken to her son in years. She was wonderful, and one night
she asked what I thought of her husband?

I said he is great. I have always enjoyed coming to the house.

No No not that...have you noted the difference? Difference? No.
You know I am from Florence in the North, and he is from the
South, scilian. Duh ???? Is that important? The whole house
that night rocked in laughter, from other people there... and
the answer is the Northerns hate the south and ...same feelings
both ways....yet they met and married. It has always stayed
with me.

her pizza was made like most in her neighbourhood. No name.
Pizza Florentine or not, no idea...it was basic and simple
with Tomato baked into the crust and that was great.

Traditional...no way to tell, as her mother taught her.

In the basement the home made wine was ...well getting ready.

Last time I was ever in Taco Bell, or better still the first and
land time, I came away calculating how far to the hospital. Up
from that is McCr-p, and well ...there are few places I want to
return to.

Better at home. Besides there are more leftovers. I am this
winter while Maria is in Brasil, going to make my own bread.
did that last year, and enjoyed it. Bake small to last
and not eat too much bread, but well at least I know what I
am putting in the mix.

Getting hungry ..time to leave...also Ian might be reading and
want to try adding to his has browns.
