"Yankee Doodle Cake

Ingredients
4 ounces (100 grams) Minced Raisins
1 Teaspoon Soda
1/2 cup Hot Milk
4 ounces (100 grams) Butter
4 ounces (100 grams) Sugar
2 Eggs
6 ounces (150 grams) Plain Flour
Pinch of Salt
Instructions
Put raisins and soda in a basin. Pour over the hot milk and leave till
lukewarm. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Fold in the sifted
flour and salt and lastly raisin mixture. Put into two greased sandwich
tins (8 inch). Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 400 Fahrenheit (205 degrees
Celsius). When cold, put together with mock cream and ice the top."

maker of baking powder, custard powder, cornflour and jelly crystals.
