Hello Kobus,
it cannot be a stupid question if I thought about it too ;-)
I must admit 1.5ê is a little on the high side for a few feet of
microphone
wire so I paralled a spare wire in the cable to lower the resistance
but to no avail.
I can only assume that the logic in the radio is looking for a Logic 1
at a certain level and anything else get treated differently.
Not worth any more of my time so I gave the radio + mic back to chummy up
the road and told him to just use the Kenwood supplied mic.
