KAM, HF-Tranceiver frequency calibration

According to a letter from Kantronics, you can set your tranceiver memories

to the exact mark frequency using your frequency counter and by following

the these steps: connect freq ctr to an separate antenna.

After xcvr warm-up;

1. Set transmitter power low, RIT + XIT to OFF

2. Set VFO to approx freq. to be stored

3. Type cmd "Diddle OFF"

4. type cmd "RTTY"

5. type cmd "CTRL T" = Transmit (red lite on KAM on + xcvr transmits mark)

6. adjust vfo freq to exact mark freq by observing the freq ctr (not the dial)

7. press write on xcvr to store freq in appropriate memory (see xcvr manuel)

8. set other freqs in other memories as in 6, 7 and 8 above

9. type "CTRL CX" to return to normal operation

10.now all your memories are on the exact mark freqs of BBS; you won't have

   to search anymore!!!

Have fun with Pactor, Amtor and G-tor Hi
