Hello fellow Scouts all over the world,

We the 1st Porchester Cub Scouts are taking part on the Jamboree on the
air this year.

The first part of the activity using Echolink (hunt for G4IJL) is in
progress on Wednesday evening. That is around 19:00 GMT or UTC. If no one
found will be using eQSO.

The main weekend event will be taking place at the Sherbrooke Camp site
some 5 miles North East of the City of Nottingham (somewhat near or in
IO92KX). The Scout district (we are a small part of the district) will
have GB3CNS running for the weekend with a decent set up.

In the morning of Saturday there will be a Cyclo-cross for the Cub-Scouts
and in the Saturday night a "Night Owl" night incident hike for the Scouts
(for added thrills it may go past the grave yard, better still in
moonlight ;-))

Replies via packet are welcome as are replies via Echolink, eQSO etc. I
may have the lap top with me using the 3G mobile(cell) link to the
Internet from the camp. The battery on the lap top is supplanted by a
leisure battery to keep the computer on air, yep the battery is lorry
sized one heck of a lap top battery. A special carry team is needed for
that battery!!! Whew that's a corking 110 Amp-hours. I hope that lasts
long enough.

Look wide
Yours in Scouting.
