Hello Radio Amateurs, Guiders and Scouts.

It's that time again.  Advance warning we are a coming on air.

50th JOTA 2007 
Saturday 20th October 2007

The Caterham Guides and Brownies will again be active for this years
Jamboree On The Air from Caterham Surrey England (IO91WH) for 
the 22nd time. 

                    10th Anniversary

The Caterham Radio Group JOTA support team will be assisting the Guides
and Brownies in working towards their Brownie and Guide Radio 
Communication  Badges and certificates.

Our Brownie and Guides look forward to contacting the other guiders and 
scouts around the UK and overseas.

The Caterham Radio Group's callsign 
to listen out for is                  G X 0 S C R

We will be active on or around:-
Saturday 20th October 2007 from 08:00 to (18:00-20:00) UTC
The Guides will be onsite 09:00-19:00 BST(UK Time) 
Later if conditions are good on HF. (wishfull thinking during this 
low part of the Sun Spot cycle. As I type this Solar Flux Index=a poor 67) 

145 MHz FM

LF 7 MHz SSB   around 7.062 +/- (08:00-11:00 UTC) approx

HF 14, 21, 28 Mhz SSB depending on band conditions looking for 
exchanging overseas greeting messages.  
14.140MHz +/- 06:00-08:30 (Beaming Long Path)  28:522 12:00-19:00(UTC) 
if propegation to Africa/USA/Canada/South Atlantic otherwise will drop 
back to 14MHz or 21MHz. 
(like operating around 21.250MHz depending on conditions) or 14MHz

We will also tune around the World Scout Frequencies from time to time. 
7.090MHz, 14.290MHz

QSL Direct preferred.  As we like to get the QSL cards to the Guide Leader
as soon as possible after the event.  G0SCR or G4APL QTHR

Packet Radio  amprnet world wide convers (WWC) on channel 11. 
Useful to find out which HF frequency LF/HF our operators are on.

Radio Amateur's we have spoken to before.  

Please assist our group in making this another successfull weekend for 
our Guides and Brownies.  Who need to complete all the required tasks, 
(which takes about 4 to 5 hours each) including many contacts. To enable 
them to gain their Radio Communication Badge or Certificate.

Those of you that hear our Young and Old operators calling.  Please give 
them a call and a contact(s).  Help us to make our Tenth Anniversary year
an enjoyable event for the Guide Guides.
 
We now currently have five Caterham Guides that hold a M3 Callsign.
