JOTA CATERHAM BROWNIES GUIDES CALLING
Hello Guiders and Scouts.
JOTA 2001
The Caterham Guides and Brownies will again be active for this years
Jamboree On The Air from Caterham Surrey England for the 10th time. (IO91WH)
The Caterham Radio Group JOTA support team will be assisting us in
working towards our Brownie Radio Communication Badges, and our Brownie and
Guides contacting the other guiders and scouts around the UK and overseas.
The callsign to listen out for is G X 0 S C R
We will be active on:-
Saturday 20 October 2001 from 06:00 to 19:00 UTC) approx.
145 Mhz FM
LF 7 Mhz SSB around 7.060 +/- (08:00-12:00 UTC) approx
HF 14, 21, 28 Mhz SSB depending on band conditions looking for exchanging
overseas greeting messages. 14.140 +/- 06:00-08:00 28:522 12:00-19:00(UTC)
if propegation to USA/Canada otherwise will drop back to 21mhz or 14mhz
We will also tune around the World Scout Frequencies from time to time
Packet Radio amprnet world wide convers on channel 11. Useful to find
out which HF frequency the LF/HF our operators are on.
To telnet to our local TCP/IP convers server
Telnet 44.131.244.1 3600 which is
linked to the world amprnet network. (when all the links are up)
