Thankyou for reading this message
JOTA (Jamborie On The Air) is an INTERNATIONAL ie World Wide weekend, that
only happens once a year. This year it is on the 21st & 22nd October 1995.
Last year, mail from this station was headed " Amateur Radio and JOTA
working together". This year it has surprised me to see at least two
messages encouraging Amateurs to become involved in Marathons and rallies
not JOTA related. It is hard enough to get Amateurs interested to doing
something for KIDS, and JOTA, let alone enticing them away by organising
other activities on the same weekend.
Think about JOTA, think about the enjoyment Amateurs can provide linking
the worlds youth together for one weekend.
If you can assist, in any way for JOTA this year, you should look in your
telephone book for your nearest Scout, or Girl Guide Association and give
them a call now, they will appreciate your assistance.
Happy DXing Nick VK4CNQ @VK4WIR.#CQ.QLD.AUS.OC
