Hello All.
This year, like previous years, we are holding a Special Event Station,
for JOTA. Although we have organised them before, this is the first
time that we will be organising the event as the Bentley Radio Club.
We are proud to have the station at 2nd Bentley Scout Group, as Bentley
was the home of Lord Baden Powell for many years, living at "Pax Hill"
in Bentley. (Bentley is situated on the Hampshire/Surrey Border).
This year, we looking to have a bigger station than ever. We have all
the usual, HF, VHF, UHF, Packet, etc, We also have SSTV organised as
well, so this should be good fun.
As normal, we are looking for other JOTA stations, so we can exchange
messages, in advance as well as on the day. And to look for contacts
that we can make on other modes. We are hoping to have a large list
of stations with times/frequencies/etc. So the Scouts can look at the
list and work out for themselves which radio is to be used and on
which mode etc.
We would like to have a long list if possible, so, if you would like
a sked with our station, we would be honoured to put you on our list
of skeds and of course make sure the sked is carried out. Please send
all the necessary details and sure enough you will be on the list. We
would also be grateful if you would send us any messages, from JOTA
stations or NON JOTA stations. Please send them to the GB4BSG mail
address. Other info such as skeds and ideas and admin, please send it
to myself so we can answer any questions etc. Maybe we can arrange a
few games or quiz etc before the day.
