Hello All,
Many stations do not correct their TX frequency with the
doppler effect (this give much QRM!!!!!!!!).
Go to your local repeater and adjust your receiving -
frequency 5khz higher and you understand the problem!
So if you do not want (or know how) to correct your freq. -
please do not operate on ISS!!!! )-:
HOW TO OPERATE THE ISS CROSSBAND REPEATER!
Example: long 10 minutes ISS pass!
437.791TX 437.800TX 437.809TX
>--------------------QTH--------------------->
145.803RX 145.800RX 145.797RX
Now you can see the doppler on 70cm is three times more in -
comparing with the 2 meter band!!!!!!
With a short pass (ISS on low elevation) less frequency correction.
You do not have to use subtones.
Use always a full duplex transceiver with 1khz steps on FM/N mode!
If you have a tranceiver with CAT interface it is possible to correct
the doppler automaticly with your computer (-:
Nice freeware software is hamradio de luxe:

Good luck and 73's!
