Move of GB3VHF beacon
After 50 years at Wrotham, the GB3VHF 144 MHz beacon will
be moving to a new site at Fairseat in Kent (JO01EH).
The Ofcom license for the beacon at the new site has
already been obtained, so once the antennas at Fairseat
are rigged, the beacon will appear on the air shortly
afterwards once schedueling and suitable weather are
available. We hope to bring further updates on this
beacon when available.

Repeater Success GB3CP
Brendan Rooney EI6CS, Keeper of the Sligo Repeater said
"thank you for bringing us together for a very useful
evening". His was a typical comment among a strong
gathering of 30 radio amateurs and experimenters convened
by Lough Erne Amateur Radio Club to thank those who
provide Repeaters and encourage greater use of Repeaters.
The meeting was in the SHARE centre which is also the
venue for the Club's rally on Sunday 11 April.
John McCullagh GI4BWM, Chairman of RSGB's Emerging
Technologies Coordinating Committee gave an excellent
exposition on the design and building of Repeaters. There
followed much sharing of experiences among Keepers,
including Billy Pollock GI3NVW Keeper of the West Tyrone
Repeater, GB3WT.
