I recently met a ham again after bout 2 months of not working him on the
local repeater.

Why u so scare on the repeater? i asked
busy with work.
we been missing u on ham radio
But i am very active on hamradio he says.
What frequency i ask knowing that i dont have 6Mtr any more .
Working IRLP
Whats that i asked.
So he explaines.
He draw a few hams that listen to his conversation.
Everybody said something and when it was my turn ,isaid that is not ham
radio ,that is playing with your computer even if u are talking to hams
only.connect your radio to our local repeater and then it could be
considerd ham radio.Ham use radio waves and radios and sometimes like now
a keyboard.
IRLP is not ham radio.
Any idiot can write a progrom for a specific group of poeple to use it.
Lets say someone write a IRLP for engineers only u have to be a qualified
engineer to use THIS IRLP node ,u register and talked with other
Engineers.
Big deal,se someone writes another IRLP program for another group of
people and they only are given acces big deal .
That is not ham radio even if they are ten times as higly qualified as
most hams.
So stop staring into ur mic on the computer and telling every body i am a
active ham on IRLP.There is no such thing as been a active ham on IRLP.U
are not a ham ,u dont need to be a ham to work a keyboard even if u have
to register as a ham.
Stupid way of thinking.
U will hear me on IRLP when someone else will link our local repeater up
with another repeater is ZS country.
