I heard Jim ex G4NTL on RSARS Net. as GM4NTL he has moved to Scotland so
we have a new GM member.
Eight stations up on 80 mtrs. at 1600 hrs on 31st.At the moment 1900hrs
seems a bad time but it does improve sometimes an hour later. If Domestic
commitments allow will give it a shot again at 1600hrs.
If any of you that side can get into the North Hessary Tor Node then its a
pipeline to Guernsey from there.Today I was as far as DRAY41 at Cheddar
and HIPPY at Bridgewater in the NE and TAMAR in the West and GLPBBS in SE
all on Autoroute from here.
I see from Bernard that GP4IPA came THIRD in SSB Section of IPARC 1995
Contest and TOP British Station. THe Operator that day was JIM GU0ELF.I
think Jim also entered the CW section but his fingers were a little slow
on the PC Keyboard !!!
Tried again on SUNDAY 7th.Jan at 1600hrs but only Brian G4FRG and Jim
GU0ELF up on 80 mtrs.Had a try again at 1900hrs but no joy.I gather Doug
heard me at 1600hrs but I did not hear him.I will try again next Sunday at
1600hrs.
Have now got the hang of MS Access this end.Makes quite a difference when
someone lends you the Instuction book. Its not so much of what you do, but
rather finding out what the programme is capable of.I suppose the other
alternative would be, to learn to read Chinese.Thank goodness all Chinese
languages are written the same so I only have to learn one.
Well not a lot of room left on the page.I gather that Brian TREs
Newsletter should be winging its way to you any day now.
