Hi Ron
Just a quick message to say that the addresses for both G1ORK and G1IPA
are correct.
Again sorry for not putting G1IPA on the air very often, but work this end
has not slowed down with just as many people getting themselves killed!
I am about to have an enforced 8 week break following a minor op on my
hand so maybe I can get on the air more often, although the XYL says I can
forget that as I have about 3 years work to catch up on around the house.

Hello Ron and thsnks for newsletter 127 recieved OK.
I notice a message from Ben OZ5IPA where he says he would like to come to
Longleat. There are a number of very good farms with bed and breakfast
facilities, all in the immediate vicinity, I am sure that he could be
fixed up OK äand anyone else for that matter). Most farms have singles and
doubles and are quite near to one another.(So there you are Ben if you
want to make the trip next year)
WX in the 80s today...very welcome!!
Had a cousin in Hartford, Conn trying to make contact via Internet
yesterday, Saturday, Thought I would sure to be gen'd up.....started me
thinking again!!
Gave a couple of calls on the net tonight but heard no one,
regards and

Good Afternoon Ron.. from the Colonies where we have PA3CZF plus KB1VN
plus WA1ECA..beginning to look like Ye Olde Inn.... Good company tho. .
After the War (big one) I worked out of Mayport Fla NAS for ATF., did not
like the area, the heat, the bugs, the dumb rebels, ec etc....Glad to hear
that you are in good health, probably because you run the island races
every summer .....
of course Katie said" he wont need the tranquilizers, he would not know
what to do at this stage even if he caught up with a women" !! .... All
I can say is that your "fame" has spread.... Off to see my "DOC" this
coming week, he checks me every three months... probably wants to detect
my current survival rate ..still on two insulin shots a day, but
maintaining a fairly good BS rate.... .. He still instructs me to keep
off the Tower ! .... KB1VN brought along a "greyline" world map program,
I can now watch the approach of prime DX conditions, daily, and of course
know exactly what time it is in Guernsey ! .... He encourages me to
upgrade from 8MB to make my PC faster with more space. He did tip me off
that I was loading up my PC with garbage from JUNO..they like to drop
"cookies" so they can sell their products.. My new SERVER is
iparc2@landmarknet.net still some probs, but you might send a test msg
on it ... I still maintain JUNO... Other than that , still recovering
from my son Bobs wedding here on the property. My grass will never be
the same. Todays NET produced: GI4SIZ Trevor, only EU station heard he
was 5/5 .... 22 check-ins today, quite a record for Wednesday..as usual
21.410 dead....so we will just have to survive for a while with
14.240..... Well my best to you and your Bride Shirley.. If you talk with
your Chief Inspector, say hello.. Bye-Bye OT 73 Will/W1WA

Sorry there is not a lot of news from this end but as most of you will
know I have my son Paul home on leave at the moment. With regard to Paul,
first the good news in that he has been offered another three year
contract which will take him up to the year 2000 so they are keeping
British Officers on, and he of course has accepted the offer.
The bad news is that as of this moment his promotion has not yet been
confirmed.Just before coming on leave he spoke with an Assistant
Commissioner of Police who Paul used to be PA to in the New Territories
and he said Pauls file was with personnel department so that could mean
anything. But not attending last years Christmas Party copuld have caused
loss of face !!!

I have not been on the 80 Mtr.Sunday net due to family commitments so no
news on that front.

Please keep me informed if you have any news.
