Hello together,
I just want to inform you very late (I am so sorry), that
I will be active tomorrow from the Romo Island in West OZ.
Romo Island is located in the North Sea Coast Group.
I want to check the Island for only 1 day with my portable
equipment. My transceiver ist the 5 watts YAESU FT-817
with my "powerful" Outbacker Tri Split mobil Antenna high
up on roof of my Opel Zafira. I will start to travel the 500km
in the early morning to the island Romo. I hope that the traffic
is not a problem. So I want to be "on the air" around 11:00 oïclock.
I will check the conditions in this island for the upcoming IOTA
contest in July. I am the Team Leader for a new IOTA contest group
and I will looking for a good and possible place on this Island.
Lets have an IOTA QSO soon, but now the status information regarding
this nice Island in OZ.
- Island Romo
- Located in the North Sea Coast Group
- QTH of this Island is between Sylt (DL) and Mando Island (OZ).
- IOTA Referece Number: EU-125
- DIA Number: DIA-???? (Sorry not known now..)
- Expedition starts about 11:00 until late afternoon
- Working mostly on famous IOTA frequencies e.g. this following:
- 10m about 28.460 MHz, if necessary working with 5up QSX
- 15m 21.260 MHz, if necessary working with 5up QSX
- 20m 14.260 MHz, if necessary working with 5up QSX
- 40m 7.060 MHz, if necessary working with 5up QSX
- If I find a little bit more time listen on WARC as well..
- Activation Day only tomorrow: 24.04.2003
- Donït forget, only 5 Watt QRP into an Outbacker Mobil Antenna.
