Hello John.

The answer to your question is correct., But it could also
apply to others, and now even calls to delete, or maybe reject
or ban postings from the person starting this topic.

That reads as very familar. I'd agree with you.

Thats OK John, as I do the same thing.

As for some people ...well..we are...and it is great...not
the same, thus ideas and comments give cause for conversation
which is great.

JOHN ... Stay! Let me list for you, what I think I have
contributed to packeteers in Cannuckia and the World !

When sysops were being threatened by our packeteer racketeers
or gangters .... for allowing users on their BBSes...I stood
with them...both the users and sysops.

That never went anywhere.... died like the brains of those making
the pain for us all. Some users left...others stayed.

When BBSes and Sysops felt the econonmic crunch... I was there
telling every packeteer to give equipment and resources to help
keep their Packet station on the air. Also sysops responded
by helping other sysops in the world with equipment sorely needed.

NO NO NO John... Please stay with us! I even don't want to see
Andy G0FTD rejected, banned or deleted. No one .... It is only
a hobby, but over the years and differences aside, There is a
great bunch of people here to converse with and express your
ideas, or even disagree.

As for Pirate problems, well I had them here too, and all knew
where it was coming from, and whom was doing it, and also via
my mailbox full nightly of slug, well there was a picture of
a troubled hammie, using his hobby to get his kicks.

So ...thats all for me ... I am off on a Quest now to find this
All Powerful CB radio operator all hammies blame for this and
that ... What a operator....what influence....robber of frequencys
controller of all radio and sounding by readings from here
and there like a comicbook character.

What's his name calls these folks who operated CB "SCUM" ... well
HAMS and CB'ers I have met over the years have ranged from Gold
to SCUM ... and that is our society and nothing to do with what
they choose to have as radio.

Here in CANADA ..John I use CB radio. Have done since it started.
I have it on the boat, and in the car, and it has been a great
tool. Even more so for truck drivers. Helps them in many ways.
Most folk I have met have been familys and in my family it has
generated many long friendships and lasting ones, and even
in Ham Radio where we discover we have ham too...it continues.

Nowadays...the CB is pretty quiet, but still decent poeple on
there, still people helping each other, and REACT listening
for people needing help ...< if no cell or out of range>.

Like you, I want more on Ham Radio ....Code or no code.

What puts me off, and this happened on HAM RADIO...was when
I asked for help for an elderly white-cane ham who was
forced into an apartment and out of ham radio, was that
this character, totally ignored my request for his help
his expertise..placing our feud atop his problems and
thus now..this ham has sold his equipment, now lost to
ham radio .... so who he calls SCUM he can now forever
more be called "HAM-SCUM".

Just shows the human state of affairs John ... Hang in there
lets keep the nails outta the hammie coffin.
