Sorry if this is a late reply but I re read it and was interested in
Google being local. I have avoided both Google and Yahoo for years. I do
use Yandex which is Russian and AVG search which is part of the AVG anti
virus prog. There are several other search engines which are better for
certain topics BTW but, I expect you get the idea.
