Hi Tony and all those brainstorming,
There are two possibilities that come to mind. The first is jerry rigging
a new swell pedal but that involves measuring the volume pot and working
out a replacement. Something tells me that's just as worn and about to
fail so you may consider the option.
The second is gluing the plastic bits together and taking it to a machine
shop where using it as a template they can machine a metal replacement.
An original R. A. MOOG eh? Now THAT'S a classic and probably worth more
than the organ!
