Re comments on the utility ior otherwise of the internet, the number of
people using the internet for various reasons at any one time must be
phenomenal. The communications programs have many millions of users.
I use skype which seems to have supplanted ICQ as a communications medium.
I just checked skype and this evening at 2110 our time 1300 UTC there are
6.8 million users on line on that program alone.
Someone finds the net useful for communications!
