Just a reminder, GB7FCR will be off line fron this afternoon 15/04/2005
When it comes back on in a few days time it will have a New ip address
and a much faster connection to the internet..
The ISDN 64k sytstem is now outdated / slow and was very expensive
for the service it provides, so it is being removed and a 2meg adsl
link is being installed to bring the service up to date and to provide
users with much faster access to the system,, Not only that but it
will save me in the region of £40.00 per Month !!
In the past if Demon had problems and dropped the link, the system
wouldnt re establish the link, so could be off for a while until I
noticed it and rebooted the system, The adsl should be much more
stable...
The systems domain name will be staying the same gb7fcr.co.uk will
be pointed at the new server so there should be minimum changes needed
by fbb users who use Winpack to connect with..
