Getting WinPack on Tel Net..easy !.

Here is a neat way of getting WinPack on to the Tel Net system with a all
in one program that you can connect via HF/VHF or via Tel Net and pick up
your mail.
No its not new ...!.
To setup the Wipack Packet program for " TELNET " follow through on the
following using Winpack V6.5.1 and look at the setup Pic for help with
the setup of Winpack itself along with install the updat670.exe for the
TEL NET to work as well.
1) Setup the Winpack as normal in the Personal, BBS And Log Information
but you will have to replace the { Frequency } that one would normally
use and instead put in with the word { TELNET }.
You will have to also put in Your own personal email address{ YOUR OWN }.
2) At the BBS Information.
Put in what ever BBS callsign you would be using to connect to via Tel
net and any BBS Prompt in the BBS Prompt window.
Leave everything else as normal.
3) Go to the SCRIPT Directory in Winpack.
If you have a Auto connect script made up put this in the script
Directory in Winpack in BBS.TXT Script into the Script folder within
winpack which {replaces the original BBS.TXT Script}.
That way you only have to press the " F2 key " on your keyboard to
connect to your telnet BBS.

4) Then in the coms setup config within the winpack program setup follow
the pic for help in setting up this tel net by doing the change with
the following with the nornal Connect string and Disconnect string
change these with the following line added to these Two strings the
word { TELNET } Click to Enlarge
***TELNET CONNECTED to
***TELNET DISCONNECTED
In the HOST MODE box at the bottom of the Coms Setup window change
the host mode from { NONE } to { HOST MODE }
You will notice that the handshake and DCD lights shown go's into light
grey.
Thats it you are now on your way to Tel Netting the world with a Top
Program.
