Hello All.
I would like to welcome any Amateur how is coming to THE NORTHERN TERRITORY
or Maritime Mobile station to which I would like to inform you of some helpful
information that could be of assistance to.
I have got on line a Echolink Node: 7593 which is a internet voice repeater
station to which you can use to perhaps contact some one over seas on or in the
land of Aus to which this system is free for all Amateurs to use.
If you need any help on the use of this Echolink "VOIP" system please let me
know and I will do my best to assist you.
You can if you have a DTMF mic or HT press the ( * ASTRAS key ) and a short
message will be played back to you over the air letting you know how to use the
this link system to which you will find this link on the RF Freq of 146.150 Mhz
which ID's every 10 mints with a VOICE ID'er as - " VK8PDG-Link ".
Perhaps listen on the above Freq even out at sea so as to make good use of this
link to which is also on The Australian National APRS Beacon Freq: 145.175 Mhz.
Here are some of the commands on Echolink to use form your DTMF Mic or HT.
1) To Make a connection to a station put in it DTMF Node Number Like 7593
2) To make a Random Connection :
3) Random Node 00
4) Random Link 01
5) Random Conf 02
6) Random User 03
7) To Disconnect at any time Press the ( # HASH Key ).
8) To Reconnect to the last station 09
9) To hear the link Status ........ 08
10)To play the Station Info file press the ( * ASTRAS key ).
Also coming back on line is the Packet 2 meter system where you can send a
NEXUS message to any where in the world on the following Freq 146.900 Mhz.
Var Winlink 2.9, Airmail, WinFBB32, and TELPAC 2000 to which any of these
system will handle this for you.
At Command prompt Example: SP NEXUS
