There is nothing new about Echolink, Trev. I have it here, and it is
purely an Internet chatroom for amateurs. It is not amateur radio, but it
is exclusively for amateurs. I notice that there are few Australians using
it but that most have limited calls. Maybe it's a way for them to "work"
DX.
I too could not see what Peter was on about. What was the actual sin the
WIA has committed? Why should it bother giving publicity to an Internet
chat room? There are hundreds of these rooms, and the only thing that
distinguishes this one is the fact that it is for amateurs only. That does
not make it amateur radio.
