Yeah, right. M$ still have to learn that not all computer users are lame,
and people will take the path of least resistance.
There is Audiograbber, Winamp, Goldwave, Cooledit, MP3Tagstudio, CDDB,
and a wealth of MP3 software and hardware ... why bother with M$ WMA DRM?
So the last decent audio card will be the SB Live, get one now, the price
has fallen by half with the release of the Audigy ...
I have copied my own CD's to MP3 and build a spare computer of a PI 166
4M,
which runs XTCPlay in dos. No keyboard, display or mouse. Just plugged
into the Hi Fi. It is full of MP3s and just functions as a big random play
16 Gb jukebox. Switch on, switch off, no Windo$e, no scan disk. It will
play 24/7 without repeating for some weeks. Just my favourites, (several
thousand) no DJ's and adds, don't think M$, or any radio station could
possibly offer me that ... all leftover PC junk ... aint thechnology
great?
Anyway ... M$ will only manage to baffle, confuse and inconvenience those
who fail to engage brains.
Chrissi.
