Ahoy mateys!
R! That Saint Elmo's Fire atop th' riggin' sure lights up me ship when
sneakin' up on me vicyims! R R R! I once lost a man when he got between
th' metal guide rings, BOOM when 'e hit th' deck! R! Th' stink of burnin'
flesh! R R R!
Now there are two camps, the Hetzians and the Teslans, don't come between
them unless you want to be caught in the crossfire. There is a never
ending arguement over who invented what, where and when. Many loose sight
of the fact that there is just so much in science all around us all
through history that paralell discoveries/inventions abound.
I have been a great admirer of Tesla since I built my coil and zapped the
whole school wing with it and confused the heck out of the janitor who
THOUGHT he had turned out the lights. Forgot about the new metal framed
desks I guess.
Tesla was one of the greatest engineers of all time IMHO but his thinking
was a bit far fetched. I guess you could say he was a famous altruist, I
HATE the term crackpot.
Oh Ian, if even a brief synopsis of his achievements were put out on
packet it would be so much as to make the current 7+ arguement seem
trivial. (;->) Seriously, visit your local library or get an Internet
connection. A REALLY good place for information is The International
Tesla Society. Maybe one of your locals can turn you on to where your
local chapter is and how to reach them. BTW, they have a neat QSL card!
Lest I forget, most of our libraries have computers connected to the
Internet and we have "Internet Cafes" full of computers. Maybe there's
one in your neighborhood, I hope.
