Some years back I visited my son's inlaws in the UK.
I took with me a map of the world printed right way up !
I gave it to my son's father-in-law. He took one look and said;
"I know what I will do with this, I'll put it up in the sales office and tell
the sales people to rethink their international sales attitude."
He did just that, and it was still on the wall when I visited his office a
year later.
He said, he found many sales people in his company were not able to see that
they had a blind spot for places south of about 20deg north.
Its a bit like the Aus in joke about US people being surprised we don't speak
German.
Oh yes did you see the news item on BBC World this week about the UK couple
that booked a holiday in Sydney ? They were surprised when the flight ended
in a few hours and the place didn't look like they expected.
They were in Sidney Nova Scotia !!!!
Its dinkum, they interviewed them !
