Low voltage, heavy wires
------------------------
I read a lot of deifference ebtween 110 and 230 volts, and finde it very
interesting. I wonder, if the americans vacumclean half as nice and
proberly as we do in Europe ? -You see:
A vacumcleaner in this calculation need 1100 Watt, for doing a nice work.
At 220 V it means approxmatly 5 A. In America, with 110 V, the same
vacumcleaner still demand 1100 W, but since the voltage is lower, the
current have to raise, to 10 A ! We know, wires get hot, if overloaded. But
if the pepole, who run at 110 V have to use the same power, they need
thicker wires. Else the vacumcleaner got to be adjusted to 550 Watt, witch
decrease the quality of cleaning. Perhaps that's why, they wrote a song
with the title "On a dusty road" -I did not belive, it's was an idea they
got, after looking at the floor, on a hallway of a hotel in Las Vegas, hi.
I can't stop thinking, is the voltage is that low, wy not raise it, and
save tons of wireing, when building sky-high buildings ?!? -A major saving
of money may also be a factor, received with plessure, from the
constructers.
How in Earth ?

In Denmark we now use 50 Hz 230 V AC, +6%/-10%. We have two leads; Phase
and NULL. For special installations, such as wet areas and sensitive
electronics, Earth is added with a third pin. In some buildings, there's
used "Grounded NULL", witch means, the Earth is directly connected to the
NULL-wire.
As highpower, we have 440V, witch is 3x230V shifted 120°, Earth and NULL,
in a five-wire system.
For normal installation, we use 10A maxload in 1,5K wires. Allowed to
operate up to 13A. 2.5K wires allows 16A load of current, all a 230 V. The
highpower gives 3x10A or 3x16A. Commonly seen as 3x10A with 2.5k wires. In
household, used for kitcenstowes, discwashers, washingmachines etc. In the
garage, used for electric devises as CO2, aircompressors etc.
We're not affraid of connecting irons with a two-wire system. -Is there
another system ? ? ? :-)

I'm still working at my project with a 12 V generator, connected to a
windmill, and charge acid accus. It to be used for my radioequipment, and
lights in my cottage. It would be nice to increase savings by decend from
the high rates and costs, using the 230 V from the utility, for everything.
I calculated, the 12 V system is able to decrease the need for 230 V with
up to 25% ! That's a lot of money, over a year, hi.
I use a 200 litre oil-burrel, cut in to half. This give wind from any
direction, and an indirect cranckshaft to a generator. In this way, you
overcome the problems in sleeds for the voltage, is use a propeller as
standard. Rest is peace of cake, connecting the wires to a batteri, and
save power for later use, hi. -And when installed, it's free !!!
