As Harry, M1BYT says. The standard in the UK is to switch down for ON and
up for OFF.
Foreign devices, including US, are the opposite. Only on our fuse boxes is
it UP for ON and Down for OFF, in cact you can't even open them if the
switch is UP=ON.
One up to the Yanks on this one. If a switch falls down into the OFF
psition, it is far safer. I'll be quite happy when we have standardised on
the same system.
As for only two pins and no Switch. Can't comment, aint been there.
