Also, there the old favourite, the double adapter, in various
configurations. side by side, diagonal, over & under. Many of these have
been stacked in arrays that weould stand against the Pisa structure for
comparison of other than linearity. They were all safe as long as they
weren't overloaded, as Sandy has quoted. Mix & match of adaptors & Tapons
were often encountered, more often than not on a building site (the
"builders box")
I did here that once upon a time a similar adaptor was available in Oz,
but for some reason it was not correct in construction, & had the
terminals transposed, causing some close calls. I read that in "the
Serviceman", an regular column in the "Electronics Australia" magazine.
This column revealed many shockers (literally!) in some of the things
that he & hismcolleauues encountered, even to confessing to almost dousing
an electrical fire with a pot of water!!!
I guess a few amissions of some similar "shockers" would cause much
entertainment on packet, I daresay. If they WERE to be admitted to,
thaat is.
