Hello all,
SOMEBODY has the math all wrong! I refer you to the term oft used in
physics, "displacement". If that "theory" about the Hindenburg containing
a vacuum were true, vacuum electron tubes and other vacuum vessels would
float!
In order for an airship or a balloon to float, the air must be DISPLACED
by an equal volume of gas of lesser density. The same applies to surface
ships which displace a volume of water equal to thier gross tonnage.
