OK, now my pet peeve being out of the way, on to the REALLY cheeky stuff.
Hmmm, I learned about rocket science and balloons back in grade school,
maybe your aiming for the drop outs?
YUP! It's the internal pressure on the forward part that propels a rocket
or that ballon.
Now, if hot air and helium, hydrogen for that matter rise, why don't the
uppermost layers of our atmosphere consist entirely of hot helium and
hydrogen? I suppose it's because only the hydrogen escapes, interstellar
"space" is full of it. Then again, I'M full of it.
One thing about guns and bullets, you forgot to mention the difference in
mass between the bullet and gun being the deciding factor of which one
gets propelled. You also overlooked the fact that the bullet isn't fired
by an explosion. Propellants fire projectiles, explosives would destroy
the gun.
There are exceptions to these rules, first, ask anyone who has held a
large caliber weapon such as a shotgun while firing and been knocked on
his hind end. Then, there is always the fool who neglects to inspect his
weapon before firing to ensure the barrel isn't blocked or uses the wrong
ammunition. Some make those hot loads a bit TOO hot!
Oh, an omission, read "IMPROPERLY held".
Now there is the spacial displacement theory. If a fusion reaction is
turned back upon itself and the energy not allowed to expand by a strong
magnetic field, you have spacial displacement. If an antimatter is
contained in similar fashion, a space/time displacement happens, warping
space.
