Hello air heads (;->),
Just for my 2c worth, Lakehurst NAS Lakehurst NJ is closer to 60KM
southwest of NYC than 100. As a historical point of interest, this
BBS/node is located in hangar one, the same used to house the Hindenburg.
Funny that Henry should mention Elizabeth, that was the first QTH I
transmitted from. Wonder of wonders, Point Pleasant Beach is my present
QTH! Small world after all. BTW, you should see the view from the hangar
roof at the "antenna farm"!
Elaborating on your "submarine", what the container contais determines
it's buoyancy. Air rises, lead sinks. (;->) Deep sea submersibles use
tanks filled with gasoline for buoyancy because unlike air, gasoline
doesn't compress and loose it's "lift".
Ya know? I'm starting to have trouble following all the different topics
posted to the same address, INFO. I think I'll go over to the lamp works
and see what the bulb heads are up to...
