Hi John and all,
I see the Irish are as confused about those ring around the rosey mains
as us! Well, I got it sorted out and as soon as you do you can rewire
that spider web in the loft PROPERLY. BTW, get rid of the spiders first.
Don't fret over those confusing voltages, we STILL haven't got it sorted
out. It originally (for AC) was 110, then 117, then 120, then 117 and now
it's back to 115. GO FIGURE! Actually, it's 115 nominal = - 6% so we have
the bases covered.
You brought up an interesting one, shipboard current. I have never been
aboard ship so I'm lost there, maybe some mariners out there could jump
in about now. Any ex shipboard radio ops reading? Hey! No comments about
becoming excess baggage, stick to electricity. (;->)
That reminds me, what ever happened to all that HF gear and ESPECIALLY
the LF gear no longer used? The LoFers were chomping at the bit and
drooling on the deck in anticipation when LF was discontinued, but as far
as I know, NONE of it showed up on the scrap market. NO! Not even a KEY!
