For many years, the only game I have ever played has been the originial,
Sid Meier's 'Civilization'.

All has gone well from a 386 to far faster computers with much more memory
but for many months now, Civ reaches a certain level then just crashes or
freezes.

The latest PC is one with a Duron 1.8GHz CPU, 512 MB Ram and a 40 GB HDD +

a lot more ports, mostly USB.

Maybe this causes the probelem, I don't know. I am still running Win ME
BTW.

Maybe I accidentally downloaded something but AVG , Spybot S&D and some
other, all tell me I'm free of nasties.

Booting into DOS or Windows makes no difference.

Any ideas, tests, etc.?

Tnx in advance,73,Ian.

All the best from - Ian, G0TEZ @ GB7FCR
