HI and thank you for reading.
Was checking over a free Gift PC Ready to pass along to a friend.
It is a Packard Bell Pentium 133 and has W98 and I thought the only problem
was the Modem being faulty so fitted a S/H one I had, then spotted the 2 USB
Ports on the back but the BIOS had them disabled ?
Setting to Enabled and it started ok until it went looking for
JUMPDRIVE.GEYSR ? Not on the W98 disk or anything else I had, so I did a
quick search on the net ? quick and short as I have only dial up !!!
Nothing only URL's and even the Packard Bell sight was no help.
I am guessing this is just to old now for support so I am taking a chance
that as us Ameteur Radio types tend to keep things for ever ? Someone on this
mode may have the driver I am looking for ? Or of course someone may be able
to tell me that it was an early version with problems thus the Disabled ?
Any help would be apreciated, the PC has been passed on but is near enough if
I can get this bit to work for them they will be thankfull, there was no
printer with the gift and most tend to be USB these days thus the problem.
