"Ghosting" of a hard drive refers to using a program, Symantec Ghost, to
create an "IMAGE" of your hard disk on your PC. You can preform this
operation by connecting a second hard drive to your computer, over the
network, etc.. This creates a backup of your system in it's entirety (An
exact clone).
This saves you the tedious time of having to reinstall your OS and
applications then restoring a file by file backup of your data.
