"Rpcss.exe & rpcss.exe"???
"Rpcss.exe" is in the "Systems" folder.
"rpcss.exe" is in WINDOWS/VCM
These are 2 ".exe's" that show up on a programme called "Zone Alert"
installed on one my computers.
"Zone Alert" monitors programmes that are trying to access the Internet.
It allows me a choice to allow or deny programmes access.

Can anyone tell me why these ".exe's" are requiring access to the inet?
Should I allow them to access the internet or not?
I have "Denied" them until I know their significense.

The description is given as:-
"Distributed COM Services"
"Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp. 1981-1988"

Many thanks
