Alia kauzo - other reason

                           ----------------
The reason, why the protocol of the first IARU-congress was written
1st in french, only 2nd in English, and 3rd in Esperanto,
chiefly was not, that french was in those times more important than english.
French was the 1st language of the congress, because
- a preparatory commitee consisted of reprezentatives of french clubs
- the congress took place in Paris, France
- a great part of the participants, namely 125 of together 271, were french,
just 39 came from GB and 6 from USA.

Nevertheless, in the following years, the great majority of radio-amateurs
was from the US. At least in the beginning, they made more national than
international traffic. Therefore, instead of the dezired and by the IARU
so decided International Language for radio-amateurs, Esperanto,
a kind of basic englisch, with some 100 english-derivated abbreviations,
became the Esperanto of the amateurs.
