Hello Andy and readers,
As I said previously, hearing about rule changes from 4U1WRC without
official confirmation, any changes to 40M remains hearsay.
Now stop whinging, if you read the bulletins you know just what changes
are on the agenda and when they will take place. As for any possible and
may I remind you OPTIONAL changes in the RA's, FCC's or any others you
simply must be as patient as you were while waiting for WARC/ITU.
Changes may come about and they may NOT, and IF they do it always takes
time because as with ANY change in government policy, the wheels grind
ponderously slowly. Rome wasn't built in a day, first they had to invent
concrete. Sooooo if you guys want to whine and cry do it now and get it
out of your system. (And our packet system.)
Take the WARC bands you mentioned, I was hearing Polish HF telephone
links there into the early 90s, so don't blame the RA for dragging it's
feet when your country had absolutely nothing to do wit it. THINK back
and try to remember when those bands were ORIGINALLY slated to open to
full operations! Yeah, the date WAS 1993 exactly.
And now you just might expect the international SW broadcasters to comply
THIS time when they presently operate below 7200Kc and have done so all
along? Now tell us a FUNNY joke next time, please.
