If true then this is good news.

But some of us remember when we were given the "WARC" bands in 1979 and
the RA (and it's predecessors) dragged it's heels over granting us full
rights untill about 1993'ish (not exactly sure when but it took long
enough!)

The rest of the world were still allowed full power and modes, we on the other
hand got stuck with 10w cw only to a horizontal dipole.

I seem to recall it was because Cable & Wireless wanted to hold on to
some spot freqs for some long redundant fixed point links.

Who says big business does'nt influence our bands ?
