RING uses the palmtops hidden feature of detecting GSM signals.
If such signals are on the air, RING simply plays a ring sound.
Call RING from DOS and put your mobile or cordless phone close
to the palmtop. If you receive a call, or if you make a call,
the palmtop plays a nice ring tone and shows "recording call"
on the screen, which is indeed not true.
RING also works, if your palmtop is close to the phone of
another person, which could be fun, but which could also end
up in serious trouble if the person looks at your screen.
RING should work as long as the phone is not farther away from
your palmtop than 50 cm. However this distance may vary from
phone to phone and also depends on the distance between phone
and next receiver/transmitter station.
To exit the program, press any key. However if you press one of
the keys 0-9, these values are returned as errorlevels and may
be used in a batch file to start special actions at the time
you 'pick up' your virtual phone. You may for example play a
WAV file saying "hello" if you 'pick up' with key 1.
