Hi John,
First of all, hope im getting it right replying to this, im new to the
BBS/packet world!
As to the laptop, there are 2 connector types i can think of for laptop
hard drives that use a 2.5 inch drive. 1 is a mini type of IDE connector
and the other (on much newer machines) is a standard SATA connector. You
can pick up 2.5 inch drive housings that convert from the small IDE to
USB, for just a few pounds. There are also SATA to USB adaptors available.
I use both of these myself for recovering data from drives. Some more info
on the laptop, or the drive itself would be useful. Or a picture of the
connector in question (via email if you like).
Cheers and 73 for now,
James, 2E0JCA
