HELP/SOS/EMERGENCY/URGENCE
==========================
My wife and i have good reason to be grateful to the
radio amateur community world wide who have responded,
kindly, quickly and efficiently to all our SOS calls
for medical aid. And in turn it has been a true
privilege to be of assistance to /mm and /m and home
based stations when urgent assistance was the order of
the day. I am referring in point of fact to instances
of cardiac arrest or diabetic hypo or other emergencies
which arise where a quick thinking ham can call for
help. Between us my wife and i can speak EIGHT
languages we ll enuf to get by.
Is there anyone else who is frail and is a licencee who
would appreciate the re assurance of knowing that if
they were to send an SOS on UIV32 that SOS would
receive immediate response as required (just one of the
many functions of APRS). G0CJM and G6XCJ are 24/7 to
pick up and service the requirements of fellow hams.
Upon receiving an SOS with location Lat/Lon QRA or a
phone number, at no charge we ascertain the requirement
and request the appropriate aid be sent immediately.
IF you too are willing to help without making any
charge for time or travelling. Please let me know.
RAYNET/ARES/IRESC do NOT function for this reason, and
they have admitted as much to me.
My appeal is a humanitarian appeal to fellow hams, can
we not help each other?
