This is imho bug inside Kenwood TNCs installed inside of TRX. I have TH-D7E
handy and I have _the_same_ problem with build-in TNC. I've discovered there is
only one fix - do not use buggy TNC, switch it into KISS mode (if kiss mode is
avaiable, I am unsure if dm700 supports this mode, TH-D7E supports, but only on
2.0 firmware and higher) and generate the ax.25 protocol inside computer (e.g.
using linux kernel ax.25 stack, jnos, l2 from BCT...)
