Thank you all for your comments,
It seems from the advice given that 10k is an acceptable part size and the
number of parts is just keep it within reason and to just see how it goes.
As for .par2 files I had forgotten about err and corr files as it is a long
time since I have ever needed them but see what you mean by </can-o-worms> HI.
Well my little program is only about 9k zipped so it should be ok.
