Thank you for reading this cry for help. I have just acquired a
second-hand Communications Power Inc HF 150 linear amplifier, which did
not come with any instructions. I thought it would be rather self
explanatory as far as all the switch settings go on the front of the unit,
but I keep blowing fuses. There may be some other deep sinister problem
because when I turn the amp on, it gets hot on the top of the case and
eventually blows the fuse. This may occur as I have set the wrong switch
settings (settings for 80 meters). Somehow I think I have got a lemon
that looks like it needs a bit of work done on it. Anyway, I'm trying to
get as much information as I can so I can get it up and running. All I
know at eh moment is that it has 13.5 volt power to it, max input is 25
watts and the output is 200 watts. Can you help?
