Both ZL1UA amd M1BYT have discussed this problem and I have raised this
topic with Roger some years ago.
To cure this problem I was advised to download and install from the MS
website Microsoft Intellipoint. I use version 4.1 as I found that later
versions had problems.
All my PCs on which I run Winpack now have this software installed and the
wheel mouse works perfectly.
